#InspireInclusion Workshop: Where Creativity Meets Inclusion

A world where hearts beat in unison, not divided by "otherness"?

Sounds just like a dream, right? An utopian place bathed in love and understanding, where differences melt away.

But hold on, because our recent workshop offered a glimpse into that very dream, a real-life example of how we might get there.

A room buzzing with creative energy, filled with people from all walks of life. This wasn't your average art class – it was our last workshop #InspireInclusion, a powerful collaboration between us, V for Human, plus a group of friends old and new, and our main supporters, the Harbour Space University in Bangkok.

The aim? To bridge divides and spark real conversations, all through the magic of art.

The beauty of this workshop was the incredible mix of people. Each participant brought their own story, their own unique way of seeing the world.

Some were seasoned designers, with years of creative exploration under their belts. Others were just dipping their toes into the world of creativity and artivism. But that didn't matter. What mattered was the shared effort to use art to make a difference

#InspireInclusion workshop: getting started

The facilitators, our very own Juliah Champion, Deniz Sulmaz and Irina Chus challenged the participants to reflect on the questions: what does inclusion truly mean? What are the roadblocks that prevent us from creating a welcoming world for everyone? How can art break down these barriers?

The topic got everyone fired up. Full of great ideas, our participants jumped into exploring their own interpretations of inclusion. Armed with paints, brushes, and anything else they could grab, they were set loose to show what inclusion meant to them.

The results have been incredible! Check them out:

The workshop ended with a gallery show, a big celebration of creativity and the new community that has been formed. It has been a chance for everyone to share their work, the stories behind it, and soak up the appreciation from their fellow artists.

#InspireInclusion has been a reminder that art can be a bridge, a way to spark change, and a tool to inspire a world that welcomes everyone.

By bringing together such a diverse group of people and giving them a platform to express themselves, the workshop was not only great fun, but above all ignited a creative spirit that crossed all boundaries.

It has been a beautiful reminder that sometimes, all it takes to break down walls is a little creativity and a whole lot of heart.

#InspireInclusion workshop - the Team
I’m really excited to share that I took part in my first event for VforHuman. I just want to say how proud I am to be part of such a great team. Our event was for International Women’s Day where we organized an art workshop. It’s really inspiring to see how many people understand and are willing to talk and spread about inclusion and equality. I’m looking forward to our next events!

The variety of outputs we receive every year from this project, the first of which we carried out in Istanbul, continues to amaze me. The range of conversations, expressions, and perspectives we observe in the field is a wonderful reflection of cultural differences. It is a wonderful feeling to come together with inspiring and hopeful artivists every year. The entire V4H team is working with full strength to achieve our sustainable social impact goal of this project by covering our growing audience in a more interactive way.
